Chinook Scenic Byway extended to Enumclaw

Well, it's official - the byway has made it down to Enumclaw!  On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, Mayor Liz Reynolds, City Administrator Mike Thomas and Byway President Trip Hart went to Olympia to witness Governor Jay Inslee signing the bill.

The bill extends the former "Western Gateway" of the Chinook Scenic Byway from the Mud Mountain Dam turnoff down 4 miles to the Enumclaw city limits at 284th Ave.

We appreciate the hard work of Senator Roach and Representatives Hurst and Dahlquist to ensure this legislation passed successfully. Much appreciation goes as well to Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds for her vital role in making this happen!
